this recipe for lemon poppy seed
sweet bread. It’s now one of our own favorites, and we’re sure you’ll enjoy it,
too!
What You’ll Need:
- 2 cups flour
- 3 tsp. poppy seeds
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 tsp lemon zest
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
How To Make It:
- In a small bowl, stir together flour, poppy
seeds, salt, and baking soda. - In a large bowl, cream together sugar and
softened butter. Beat in eggs, sour cream, vanilla, lemon zest, and lemon juice
until well blended. - Stir in flour mixture until well mixed.
- Spoon into greased muffin tin.
- Bake at 400F for 15 to 20 minutes.
These muffin-shaped sweet bread treats will make the perfect
addition to a holiday picnic or family get-together this summer.
